808s & Heartbreak

(Roc-A-Fella/Def Jam,2008)

OK, so it took us a couple months to admit, too, but it's undeniable—'Ye went out on a serious limb on this one, replacing raps with sing-songy autotune blues and chopped soul with '80s pop synths, and it actually worked. Matter of fact, it was amazing.

808s was recorded in Hawaii over one month during a break in the summer leg of the "Glow In the Dark" tour.

It doesn't matter if 808s & Heartbreak can not be considereted one of our faorite ones, there's a fact. Kanye West brought a little piece of brain to that music that used to be violent and sexist...

It's good that Def Jam is honored as a great record label.LL Cool J should own a piece of that record company,he was their 1st true rap superstar with Radio.I was there when Public Enemy,Beasite Boys,Run DMC.EPMD and those cats put Def Jam on the map.God bless Russel Simmons.

So after reviewing this entire list I have come to this conclusion...Complex knows NOTHING about music. I was fine with the top 5, because those guys are all legends, but no Coldplay??? Like NONE?? Killers at 98?? Really? But good looks on Diplomatic Immunity and the Clipse ablums...ALL CLASSICS! But you guys still SUCK.
